The Advocates for Human Rights designs and conducts training on specific human rights topics to provide participants with tools that enable them to be more effective in their work.

The Advocates for Human Rights offers training in the following areas:

A Practitioner’s Guide to Human Rights Monitoring, Documentation, and Advocacy

This resource provides guidance on how to use a human rights framework to work for social change in the United States.
Media Training

The Advocates provides specialized trainings for media interested in learning about a particular issue area, such as immigration or human sex trafficking. The trainings equip reporters and editors with increased knowledge of complex areas of law and policy where human rights protection are of concern.
Training and Consultation on Violence Against Women

Our Women’s Human Rights Program has experience working internationally and locally to provide trainings on women’s human rights issues and violence against women.
Asylum Training

The Advocates offers customized training for lawyers interested in providing pro bono representation in asylum cases as well as seasoned volunteer attorneys seeking an update on asylum law.
Human Rights Education Training
This training for educators provides tools and techniques on how to integrate HRE methods into the classroom.  Presenters will demonstrate lessons, discuss best practices, and provide resources to enable educators to integrate human rights concepts, issues, and principles into their existing coursework.
