Public Awareness Campaigns
The Advocates for Human Rights is dedicated to raising awareness about important human rights issues in the United States.  As part of our work, we conduct public awareness campaigns on immigration, economic rights, and torture.  We encourage you to become part of our campaigns!  Read about the issues involved, download the campaign materials, and start educating others about these important issues.

Immigration Fuels Our Nation
Immigration_button_4The Advocates for Human Rights has worked to promote and protect the rights of immigrants and refugees since 1983.  The “Immigration Fuels Our Nation” campaign provides accurate information about immigration and works to build respect for human rights standards in U.S. immigration policy.

U Do Have Rights Campaign
UDHR_button_smallThe Universal Declaration of Human Rights states that “a decent standard of living, adequate nutrition, health care, education, decent work and protection against calamities” are all important human rights.  The UDHR - U Do Have Rights Campaign takes an honest look at economic, social, and cultural rights in the United States.  The campaign challenges us to get informed, get involved, and get others interested in our rights and responsibilities.

Torture Destroys Us All
Torture_campaign_logoTorture Destroys Us All is an ongoing campaign for a torture-free world. The purpose of the campaign is threefold: (1) to join the world in commemorating the ratification of the U.N. Convention Against Torture and Other Cruel, Inhuman or Degrading Treatment or Punishment; (2) to encourage people in the United States to take a bold stand in condemnation of torture and; (3) to hold our government accountable for its human rights practices.
