Each spring, The Advocates for Human Rights holds one of the premier asylum training conferences in the nation. Volunteer attorneys and more are welcome to join us for updates on the latest practice and case developments affecting asylum seekers.
In 2008, our annual asylum training was held May 1-2 at the Eagan Community Center in partnership with the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA), Minnesota/Dakotas Chapter. The Immigration and Asylum Conference 2008 : Immigration Law in the New "ICE" Age of Enforcement discussed current enforcement tactics affecting pro bono clients.
