International Women's Day In March The Advocates recognizes International Women's Day with a celebration of the diversity and strength of Minnesota women and an educational program that highlights advancements in women's rights and equality, encourages further activism, and promotes increased understanding and tolerance in our community. This year the event featured keynote speaker Robin Morgan, as well as workshops, performances, film, and display and information tables from more than 60 co-sponsoring organizations. Immigration and Asylum Conference Each spring we hold one of the premier asylum training conferences in the nation. In 2008, our annual asylum training will be held in partnership with the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA), Minnesota/Dakotas Chapter as part of the Immigration and Asylum Conference 2008 : Immigration Law in the New "ICE" Age of Enforcement. Human Rights Law and Policy Conference Every summer The Advocates for Human Rights holds its annual Human Rights Law and Policy Conference to educate on important human rights issues of the day.
